The Compass/Odyssey link is where your child will do Math and Language Arts. LA (language arts) is a combination of reading, spelling and grammar. You will complete these lessons daily. Some lessons will take more time than others. Your child will start with Week 1 today and complete each learning tile in order. The program will not advance to the next lesson until he/she has completed the whole lesson. Your child should be working for about 30 minutes in math and 30 minutes in language arts every day. Your child can stop at any point after that allotted time each day and the program will save your child's progress. Then, he/she will begin again the next day.
If your child finishes early or wants to keep learning, please click on the optional links below that will be on this webpage each week for extra practice. Reading daily and practicing math skills will help get you ready for second grade!

Your child is encouraged to read books and take AR tests. I would recommend typing in the books title in AR to see if there is a test for it from EPIC, MyOn sites, or books from home. Mrs. Borroni will be distributing reading prizes for AR points earned at the beginning of next year. Students can read books on any level.
