Fall 2023 Kindergarten Registration

Blackhawk is beginning our kindergarten registration process. If you have a student who will be age 5 by September 1, 2023, please click the link below to start the registration process. By submitting your information, you are starting the registration process for your child to attend kindergarten in the FALL 2023.

The academic calendar for school year 2023-24 was approved by the School Board of Directors.

Nerf Gun Filter on Social Media

There is a new social media filter that uses a Nerf gun image and takes a video of a target being shot. The Pennsylvania State Police have notified schools, as its use may continue to gain popularity. We wanted to inform families of this filter, so you are aware and ask you to speak with your child about its use, as you deem appropriate. Use of this filter in regard to students, staff, or the school could result in school consequences and police involvement. Please see school board policies 218.2 Terroristic Threats/Acts, 218.1 Weapons, and 218 Student Discipline.

School Resource Officers

The Chippewa Township Police Department and the Blackhawk School District have partnered so that two School Resource Officers will support our students in the buildings. Officer Jesse Richman and Corporal Jake Delmonico started on January 3, 2023. We welcome Corporal Delmonico and Officer Richman and look forward to our continued partnership!
